About Actors Pro Expo
Actors Pro Expo was set up by actors for actors to help and encourage them in all areas of their life as a professional actor. We run acting expos (trade shows) throughout the year in the U.S.A and in the U.K. (where we are called Surviving Actors), to help actors develop and sustain their career and to create new opportunities for themselves. We do this by creating an environment where actors can meet industry professionals to help develop a career in acting.
General admission to the expo is free and gives actors the chance to meet and network with other professional actors seeking work and looking to develop their careers.
Our extensive range of workshops and seminars also help to focus on the craft of the actor as well as supplying essential advice on the practicalities of working as an actor.
On top of all this, the expo’s open casting call gives you a real chance to secure a leading role in a film or theater production.
The ‘Develop’ sector of the convention will provide the chance for actors to re-consider their head shot, learn about personalized websites and consider a demo reel. All companies will be there to promote their services and actors will be able to gain information, obligation free. This is a great opportunity to be introduced to various ways in which your career could be enhanced and to take your career to new levels!
There’s more….! Companies who provide training for professional actors will also attend Actors Pro Expo to introduce their classes aimed at refreshing your craft. Actors will be able to meet and greet those who are directly involved with the companies you might use on a daily basis.
As any professional actor knows, sometimes having a second job to pay the rent is essential in order to sustain a long-lasting career. If only employers understood you are an actor before anything else! Well keep reading because we have the answer for you…..
Actor’s Pro Expo exhibitors will include companies who are looking to employ actors for promotional work, teaching and other flexible jobs that actors are perfect for. Each of these companies have lots of work opportunities to offer, which may be key to surviving those difficult months in between acting jobs. In addition, they understand your primary desire to work as an actor, allowing you the flexibility to attend auditions around your job. So now you don’t have to worry about booking time off for that great audition you just got!
This is a real important part of the convention; unique opportunities for actors to learn about creating their own work and to find out about casting websites to help book your next audition. As if that wasn’t enough, we also have an exclusive feature film open-casting for you to audition for on the day!
There will also be seminars with industry professionals taking place to provide fundamental information to inspire and encourage professional actors. These will all be realistic and honest for the benefit of those looking to create new, exciting and fresh work to enhance their career.
