Tell us about your audition piece, and how you felt posting it?
My audition piece comes at the end of the play where my character is talking to her dad and how she regrets how she spoke to her mother earlier. I was slightly nervous as I had never posted a speech before and I wasn't sure if it was good enough. But I just thought, "Just go for it, and I'm glad I did.

What will you be performing, and why did you pick this piece?
The piece I will be performing is the same as my audition piece. This scene holds a very dear place in my heart. I love the character and the journey she goes through within the piece. There is so much to play with and explore, and I am looking forward to re-visiting the piece to see what other nuances and details I can find. Plus, the idea of performing this live is also going to bring some exciting elements to it, I’m sure.

Tell us about your audition piece, and how you felt posting it?
I posted it a bit on a whim, as I kept putting it off, being nervous about posting it. But one day when I was in a bit of a rut, I decided there was nothing to lose and I should just do it and put myself out there.
What will you be performing, and why did you pick this piece?
I will be performing a monologue from the play Mayfly by Joe White. I absolutely love this piece and its one I have performed a few times before. I find the character so endearing and I feel like I can really show myself and who I am as a performer through the monologue.

How are you feeling about your upcoming performance at the virtual expo?
Excited to perform in this medium, technical bits aside. All the world's a stage!
What will you be performing, and why did you pick this piece?
One by Terrence Mosley, it has a crushing opening line, and goes on to explore themes of identity and parenthood. I related to it and knew I could apply it to a London backdrop.

What was your reaction when you found out you'd been picked by our panel of judges?
Incredibly grateful, in my twenty years on this earth I've not been great at winning things, but when I do, it means so much more
What is your advice to anyone considering applying to perform at one of our upcoming expos?
Oh do it! Absolutely. It gives you confidence within yourself, as an actor I am still learning to believe in myself, but I think it is so important. It's a scary thought, I know I will be performing with butterflies corrupting my stomach, but that's the joy of it, it shows how much we love what we do. Apply, you never know what could happen, who you will meet and the love you will have for yourself after giving it a go.
