Career Advice session with Spotlight (In-person event only)

Open to members and non-members. This career consult will provide you with the chance to meet with a representative from Spotlight to answer any questions you have about the industry and how the join Spotlight. For those of you that are already Spotlight members Mel will look over your profile in detail to offer some top tips and advice, you’ll also have the opportunity to ask any industry related questions.

About Mel Brown

Mel studied drama at Loughborough University, before heading into the industry and interning at a number of places including Hubbard casting, the National Student Drama Festival and a number of adult performer agencies. She then took up a full-time job as a young performer agents assistant, where she remained for five years and worked her way up to being a Junior Agent.

In 2016 she moved to Spotlight and started on the membership support team as Membership Coordinator, she then moved to Senior Performer Executive and was recently promoted to be part of a new team where she will undertake the role of Spotlight Success Manager for Performers.

Andrea Clark

Andrea Clark casting was founded in 2006. Since then Andrea has worked on award-winning feature films, commercials and short films. She also casts a variety of other projects including video games, corporate films and new media content. Andrea cast THE BELLWETHER, “the world’s first English language one-woman feature film” starring ALEX RIED, and was casting consultant on BAFTA winning LATE SHIFT. Prior to setting up her own company, Andrea co-cast the acclaimed feature films including DOG SOLDIERS, KEEPING MUM and THE THIEF LORD, which starred a young GEORGE MACKAY and AARON TAYLOR-JOHNSON. As an associate casting director, she collaborated on the casting of blockbusters including HELLBOY, BLADE II and HIDALGO. She was also part of the casting team on MTV’S ground-breaking reality programme THE REAL WORLD. Andrea was on the board of the casting directors association for 5 years, stepping down in 2022. She is a member of BAFTA and the casting directors guild.

Fiona Keddie Ord

Fiona (Fi) studied Theatre and Music at the University of Glasgow before going on to the London School of Musical Theatre.  What followed was a jolly 10 years of mainly actor/musician productions which she can’t be bothered to list because she very quickly realised that agenting was where she wanted to be…and so came her first birth – Keddie Scott Associates.  Despite the Scottish roots, the London office was the first on the map and that is where Fiona happily resides.  Now wedded with twins – a crucial part of any professional biog and consequently, births 2 & 3 – with a daily commute from the suburbs, Fiona has moved in to the realms of “serious adulting”.  A keen (borderline obsessive) long distance triathlete, she mostly gets up at unreasonable times of the morning to train before settling in to the daily joy (and challenge) that is Talent Management.

Lee Morgan

Lee is one of the UKs Top Agents.  Lee trained at Rose Bruford College.  Following his performance career, he became Head of Acting at a leading Drama School in London and a freelance director.  Lee Morgan Management was founded in 2005, representing a dynamic, diverse and exciting list of actors and has had continual success in all areas of the industry within film, television and stage, both in the UK and internationally.

Nikki Meadows

Nikki Meadows is a Casting Director working across TV, film and commercials but specialising in factual drama and drama documentary for television. She is a full member of the Casting Directors’ Guild, The Casting Directors Association and a voting member of BAFTA.

She cast the critically acclaimed BAFTA winning Suffragettes with Lucy Worsley (BBC1 – Best Specialist Factual BAFTA winner 2019)

Olissa Rogers

Olissa Rogers is a Casting Director working on a freelance basis. She began working in the industry back in Germany in 2008. She worked there until 2016 mainly on TV Series. In 2016 she met casting director, Jeremy Zimmermann, and went to be casting assistant for him on several films until 2018. She then moved on to become casting assistant to Kharmel Cochrane for commercials and TV/Film projects. In March 2019 Olissa was approached by Theo Park and was working on big TV projects (e.g Ted Lasso) as her associate where she was until October 2019. From November 2019 until February 2020 Olissa was one of the casting associates to Amy Hubbard. Olissa has also worked for Fiona Weir as one of her associates from June 2020 – April 2022.

Sarah Harkins

Having trained as an actor and worked on and off in the industry for over 10 years, Sarah transitioned into casting over 4 years ago and has since worked across theatre, television, commercials, and films. She has worked with Annelie Powell on “What’s New Pussycat “and Coming to England, Julia Horan on Macbeth at The Almeida with Saoirse Ronan, along with Ginny Schiller, Dan Hubbard, she is currently at Catherine Willis Casting. Sarah also freelances with Changelings Theatres rep seasons amongst other projects.

She is currently at Catherine Willis casting and has worked on the Full Monty for Disney +, Romantic Getaway and continues to work across tv and film.

Sydney Aldridge

Sydney has been working in casting since 2015. Starting her journey as a casting assistant at Beach Casting and later moving on to work with Rose Wicksteed, Anna McAuley, Kate & Lou and most recently, Sasha Robertson.

Sydney Aldridge Casting has been established since 2018, working across Film, TV, Commercials and Stage.

Sydney is the current in-house casting director for Red Rose Chain; casting productions such as Much Ado About Nothing, Private Lives, Romeo & Juliet and Twelfth Night as well as many more!  Sydney is a proud CDG member. She was delighted to be nominated for two years   running in the Mandy Network Casting Director Awards, receiving a runner-up award in 2020!

Warren Bacci

Warren Bacci is the director of TTA (Top Talent Agency) which is a talent agency representing adult and child actors from all over the UK and Internationally. TTA has placed hundreds of actors in top TV, Film & Commercial roles, as well as modelling and West End Theatre. Warren has been a talent agent for over 16 years and regular judges at various showcases around the world scouting for new talent.Warren has placed actors in many top TV shows and films, including: “House of Dragon”, “Resident Evil”, “Dodger”, “Andor”, “The Worst Witch”, “Doctor Who”, “The Witcher”, “Dickensian”, “Call the Midwife”, “Eastenders”, “Holby City” as well as a wealth of BBC related dramas and series on Netflix, Disney+, Amazon and Paramount+. Arron Lloyd

Born in the inner city in a single mother household, Arron Lloyd has an appreciation for what it takes to create the life you deserve. As an honorary member of the internationally known Negro Ensemble Company Arron has been seen in TV/film and theater. Tineka Becker

Tineka Becker is an independent Casting Director whose indie projects have premiered at prestige festivals such as Sundance, Cannes, Santa Barbara, The Hamptons, and Palm Springs, to name just a few.  Formerly the Manager of Feature Casting at Paramount, she has had multiple projects release during the pandemic, all of which are available to stream, including the Amazon series ReacherThe Artist’s Wife starring Lena Olin & Bruce Dern, Breaking Fast (nominated for a 2022 GLAAD award), the Netflix docu-series Heist, and season 2 of The Mysterious Benedict Society on Disney+. She has also cast projects for Warner Bros., 20th Century Fox, ABC, Hulu, CBS Television, 20th TV, MTV, Voltage Pictures and YouTube Red, as well as the Weitz brothers’ Depth of Field, Steve Carell’s Carousel Television, Michael Eisner’s Tornante Company, and many more. She was nominated for Best Feature Casting Director at the 2022 Santa Fe Film Festival for The Big Bend, which also won Best Ensemble Cast at the Savannah Film Festival. Tineka was born in The Netherlands, reared in the States, and is a graduate of Northwestern University’s theater program.
