My name is Carla B. Guttmann and I’m a Canadian-German director and A-list festival coach. You can read my bio here! My A-list festival coaching puts actors in touch with directors, producers, and agents in personalized meetings from all over the world. It is based on a strategy of pre-booking 1:1 meetings by getting into specific festival databases before the festival even begins. My main focus is Cannes, Berlinale, TIFF, and Gothenburg, but these strategies can be applied to all festivals.

To date, I have worked with actors in over 22 countries such as the US, Canada, the UK, Ireland, Germany, Switzerland, Austria, Poland, Sweden, Denmark, Norway, Italy, France, Spain, Portugal, Bulgaria, Turkey, Ukraine, Argentina, India, Israel, and Greece. I’ve helped change the outcome of their career and festival experiences by putting them in control of their results. The actors I have coached feel greater empowerment while attending A-list festivals, are cast by international directors, acquire producers for their own projects, and sign with new agencies within 45 days of attending my programs.
