
Lauren Evans
Lauren Evans established herself as a Casting Director in 2018 and has since built an impressive portfolio across television, film, theatre, and audio. Her television credits include four seasons of Sex Education (Netflix), Willow (Lucasfilm/Disney+), Fifteen Love (Amazon), Still Up (Apple TV+), Chloe (BBC), Documentary Now! Season 4 (IFC), Miracle Workers – Season 2 (UK casting), The Gavin and Stacey Christmas Special (2019 & 2025/BBC), The One (Netflix), Taboo (BBC), The Girlfriend Experience - Season 3 (Starz), and The Ballad of Renegade Nell (Disney+).
More recent projects include Big Mood (Channel 4), The Road Trip (Paramount), and Lost Boys and Fairies (BBC), the latter earning her a fourth BAFTA nomination for Scripted Casting.
Her film work includes Paddington 2 (StudioCanal), The Great Escaper (Pathé), William Tell (Tempo), and the upcoming independent feature I Swear (StudioCanal/Tempo).
In 2021, Lauren cast her first theatre production, the critically acclaimed The Ocean at the End of the Lane, which ran in the West End through late 2021 and early 2022. She recently expanded into audio drama, casting People Who Knew Me—a BBC Sounds production starring Rosamund Pike and Hugh Laurie, in collaboration with Merman.
Lauren is proud to have received two Casting Directors’ Guild Awards for Best Casting in a TV Comedy for Sex Education, along with three BAFTA nominations for Scripted Casting, recognising her commitment to fresh, diverse, and authentic storytelling.
