An American accent is a useful tool for American auditions, and every self-taping actor has come across the need for a 'General American' accent. However, accent learning for actors is both a technical and emotional process. Begin to think of a new accent as choreography for the mouth. This workshop will leave you with comprehensible and accessible tools to feel comfortable & confident acting in American English. Learn about the mouth position, musicality & sound changes needed for a General American accent. We will also talk about finding the right sound for your vocal & casting type, as well as making the jump from practicing at home to acting in accent.
