Networking Sessions Hosted By V Showcards at  WeAudition: Actors Pro Expo 2026

This is for actors who are done waiting to be “discovered.”

If you understand that submitting endlessly isn’t a strategy—and that real careers are built through relationships—this session is for you.

These vShowcards-hosted networking sessions are designed for actors who think beyond auditions and understand how work is actually created. You’ll step into real conversations with writers, directors, producers, and casting professionals who are actively developing projects.

Many actors believe being “known” means being famous. In reality, the most valuable people to be known by are the ones creating the work.

Instead of being one more name in a casting inbox, you enter the room early—when ideas are forming, collaborators are being chosen, and trust still matters.

This isn’t networking for everyone.

It’s for actors who see themselves as long-term creative partners—and who want to be known by the right people, for the right reasons.

What to Expect:

  • Direct access to industry creatives — meet writers, directors, producers, and casting professionals who are actively developing projects and looking to build relationships with actors.

  • Actionable insight, not just introductions — gain real understanding of how casting decisions are made and how creative collaborations actually begin.

  • Genuine networking that lasts — structured, welcoming sessions designed to help you form meaningful connections that can lead to future opportunities, not just business card exchanges.

Who is This For?

These networking sessions are for actors who are serious about getting more work in 2026 and want to take a proactive, well-rounded approach to their careers. They’re designed for performers who understand the value of building real relationships and who are eager to engage not only as actors, but as creative collaborators.

Participants will have the opportunity to chat directly with writers, directors, producers, and casting professionals who are actively looking to connect with actors—especially those interested in contributing to the creative development of projects, from early ideas through production.

Whether you’re new to the industry or already working, these sessions are ideal for actors ready to step out from behind submissions and into the room, make meaningful connections, and be part of collaborative work that can lead to future roles, partnerships, and original projects.

How Can I Get Tickets?

Attendance at these networking sessions is free, but places are prioritised. The booking link is sent first to VIP and All Access Pass Holders and V Showcards Members, giving them the first opportunity to reserve their spot. Any remaining tickets will then be released to the all ticket holders, so make sure you secure yours before they’re gone! The ticket link will be released on February 2nd at 12pm.

Meet Your Hosts

Alex Reece

Since graduating from ASAD Academy of the Science of Acting and Directing school in 2010, Alex has built a successful career in international and independent film, with over 35 IMDb credits in blockbuster films, studio TV roles, and award-winning independent projects.

Starting with student and short films, Alex landed a role in a Heineken advert for Skyfall’s "Crack the Case" campaign. He worked his way up, taking smaller roles in low-budget features before landing lead parts to build experience and expand his network.

By 2016, Alex secured larger roles in higher-budget productions. In 2017, he played the lead villain in Sajjan Singh Rangroot, a critically acclaimed World War I film. He continued landing strong supporting roles in UK films and international cinema, including The Aryan Papers and several Hindi/Indian films. Recently, Alex joined a top US TV production with an Oscar-winning director and landed the lead villain role in a Sony TV series releasing in 2024. Fluent in Spanish and Portuguese, Alex also plays the lead in The Best in Life, a Portuguese film set in the Douro Valley.

In 2020, Alex co-founded vShowcards.com with Darren Tassell to share his strategies for success in the competitive film industry. He teaches acting, audition techniques, and motion capture at Cambridge RSU and Chichester Universities.

Darren Tassell

Darren Tassell was born in South London in 1974 and lives in Bermondsey, London. Darren is a 6'3" tall, experienced & versatile actor. First seen on screens in the European Actimel Christmas commercial campaign as the Drill Instructor training Santa, Darren has gone on to play several lead roles in international feature films appearing in worldwide cinemas with many films still awaiting international theatrical release.

Darren created the vShowcards platform with co founder Alex Reece as they believed there was a better way to find work within the industry than the current system that is too expensive for out of work actors.

Their slick vShowcards mobile casting app is testament to that, offering an affordable solution and new approach to casting for actors of all levels.
