Acting for Others is a UK theatrical charity that provides financial and emotional support to people working in all areas of the theatre industry - from actors on stage to backstage crews, front-of-house teams and creatives - when they face hardship or crisis.
Through a network of 14 member charities, it offers grants, counselling, benefit advice, help with nursing home fees, retraining assistance and other forms of practical support to theatre workers and their families in need. The charity relies on fundraising efforts like theatre bucket collections and generous donations from audiences and the wider community to sustain this vital support across the performing arts.
